We spent a night here and appreciated the easy walk to the stunning Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area for a relaxing park view, along with the close proximity to Urban Farmer Kitchen & Cocktails, which made it simple to grab a delicious bite after our city explorations. it made our weekend so much more enjoyable.

The cabin provided a charming ambiance with a lovely front porch overlooking a serene pond. Despite being close to the highway, it remained surprisingly quiet, adding to the comfort of our stay. The absence of a pet fee made it even more appealing for our dog. However, kitchen facilities were lacking, limiting meal options, and the nearby fishing restrictions were disappointing.

It was just a reliable pick for a swift visit in Ogallala with reasonable value. The shower had a quirky temperature issue that kept things interesting. Ask to stay in a cabin further from the highway.

we had a lovely stay at south platte cabins & kennels! the cabins are clean, cozy, and let us bring our dog along, which was a huge bonus. the breakfast staff kept everything filled, and the setting by the lake was just perfect for some relaxation. overall, a great experience!

We had a fun family getaway, with the kids enjoying the 5-acre private lake right outside our cabin. Fishing just steps away was a highlight for everyone and the cozy cabin vibe made our stay special.

The proximity to the highway was intended for convenience, but the road noise was bothersome, especially at night. Would definitely come back for how comfy the cabin was.
